Hilo

Hilo is a town on the windward side of the Big Island. Hilo is pronounced Hee-lo (lo rhyming with go) with the accent on the first syllable. Hilo has a couple of meanings: to twist or braid, the first night of the new moon, and it was the name of a famous polynesian navigator.

Ok, Hilo misspellings, let's see. Heelo, Heelow, Hilow, Hi lo, hi low, hielo, and hi-lo.
